Celebrating life, love and happiness with dignity
Ceremonies
COMMITMENT CEREMONIES
For some couples, a commitment ceremony is a valid alternative to a formal marriage, when the alternative is not an option. The only difference being there is no legal requirement for documentation.
The language of love remains the most important component of the ceremony, as is the couple’s devotion and commitment to each other. Couples may choose their own special words and readings, and have close friends and family participate in the ceremony. I contribute the same input, time and care, and value and respect the couple’s choices.
This is an alternative to a Christening. Many people do not have a religion, but may have a personal spiritual belief, and wish for their child’s validation in front of their loved ones – family and friends. Parents and family can write their own words, or ask family members to write a sentiment, read a meaningful poem, and participate. This ceremony is valuable if the child is adopted, or two families have blended. It is important for me to get to know the family, and celebrate the Naming in an environment of love and support.
NAMING CEREMONY HUGO & DELILAH
Twins, Hugo and Delilah celebrated their first birthday and Naming Day on the same occasion, at home, surrounded by loving family and friends. The four Godparents accepted their roles, with beautiful speeches. Older sister and brother joined the celebrations.
NAMING CEREMONY ARIA
4th November 2017, on her first birthday, a Naming Ceremony was held for gorgeous little Aria, at the family home. Her Godparents are dad’s brother, and mum’s sister. Aria’s Great Nanna read a poem for the family. They are a beautiful, loving family.
It was a joyful occasion, with Aria soaking up the love and attention she so deserves.
Her mum wrote to me – ” Hi Trish,
We really can’t thank you enough for being a part of Aria’s big day. You did a remarkable job and provided such a beautiful, warm and kind ceremony. You are a beautiful person inside and out! The words you used in Aria’s ceremony we’re so loving.
Thank you once again for making Aria’s day and ours memorable. Thank you for the gorgeous angel. Keithy also did a fantastic job and looked so smart, as your “Roadie.”
Thank you. All our love – Sarah, Marc and Aria xxx ”

Hi Trish,
VOW RENEWALS
This is a beautiful way of publicly acknowledging your on-going love and commitment to each other. They may be on special wedding anniversaries, or after significant events, such as ill health, and are a testament to your original vows and connection with each other.
100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Mary had a lovely, big party for her 100th Birthday at her daughter’s home, at St. Peters. She was surrounded by many friends, and family, and loved the beautiful cake her niece made for the occasion.
1st NOVEMBER 2014
I was also blessed to prepare and read the Eulogy at Mary’s Catholic Funeral when she passed away. A very sad occasion as she was such a beautiful, soul – she will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. I had know Mary for many, many years.

NEW YEAR’S EVE 2015
I was honored to celebrate a wedding vow renewal of 10 years for Brenton and Jenny, on New Year’s Eve. Their little family is complete with two
beautiful little girls. Everyone was happy, and we shared the poem which was read at their original ceremony – “A Good Marriage.”
VOW RE-NEWAL ON THE 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Christine and Darren surprised guests to her 50th Birthday dinner with a Vow Re-newal ceremony. It was a beautiful gala event – guests dressed in outstanding formal wear, glitz and glamour, and it was decorated so beautifully. Decorations included the original wedding cake top, flowers and other memorabilia. The birthday cake was AMAZING – and desert was a lollie buffet. Even the lighting was romantic. Their son Timothy sang and played keyboard, beautiful especially chosen songs, and was fantastic. Son Daniel took photographs of everyone, and was general host. Great venue, and very happy guests to help celebrate for a lovely little family.

BOAT NAMING DAY 23RD SEPTEMBER 2018
This was a different occasion; a very special naming for a beautiful sail-boat “STELLA ROUGE” – at the SA Royal Yacht Squadron.
It was attended by many guests, and I followed protocol for appeasing the sea gods – this involved champagne! The owner was very happy, and loves her boat.
